365 days. One whole year since the world stopped spinning. Normal crumbled. Our lives split into a “before” and “after.” Today marks the first angelversary of our sunshine boy.
People often ask, usually with their eyes, how we survived this year, and honestly, the truth is we just took it one breath, one minute, and sometimes one agonizing hour at a time. The firsts are the hardest—every holiday, birthday, and changing season a stark reminder of his physical absence.
Yet, as heavy as the grief has been, this year has also been a testament to the depth of our love for him. Love doesn’t die when a child does; it simply changes shape. We see him in the morning sun, we hear him in the wind, and we carry him in every heartbeat.
Thank you to our family, friends, and community who have held us up, said his name, and cried with us over the past year. Please keep saying his name today.
We miss you beyond words, we love you beyond measure, and we will honor you for all the days of our lives. You are on your greatest adventure yet my sweetest boy – see you soon ♡
