The first month…

Written by:

October 2nd, 2025 – It’s been a month since our little stinker man got his angel wings and beat Sandhoff. As I look back at the past month, everything is a blur. Everyone has big problems in their lives that seem insignificant now. Going to get groceries feels wrong without Aiden riding in the cart. Anything we did “normally” a few months ago feels like a piece is missing.

And that’s okay.

For those who stumble upon this, there is nothing that makes the day to day feel complete again. Losing a best friend, your child, will effect us as parents and siblings the rest of our lives. There is always the thought in the back of our minds – “Aiden should be here” – “Aiden loved that toy” – “Aiden would have loved visiting here”.

And that’s okay.

Be kind to yourself. Mama and myself have kept ourselves moving forward for our second child, Sawyer. Find a passion, a purpose, a dream – and go in 100%. Because that’s what Aiden would want us to do.
